Varpas 009 - Pete Herbert
Genre: Disco
Lenght:01:15:57
Pete started his musical career way back in 1991, when being a student he did spin records near Mat Anthony and Simon Lee. In 1993 he understood that his current activity has no future, and got back to his home London, where he worked at a record shop for some time and understood the key points of this business. So, in 1995 Pete Herbert opened his eclectic and leftfield club music record shop "Atlas Records".
At the same time Pete started spinning records just as in London, as in Europe. He became a resident at "Cake and Milk" parties in Paris' club/boat "Batofar", he also regularly played at "Dusted" nights in "Blue Note" (London), "Far East" - "The Scala", "Fabric" and so on. He played with such names as Carl Craig, "The Glimmers", Andrew Weatherall, Harvey, Aril Brikha, Lindstrom, Henrik Shwarz... Pete's name is more common in the biggest Europe's fests too...
At the mean time Pete Herbert dives into the waters of creation more often. For this occasion a label "Specialist Interest Recordings" was started. Pete's personal creations and remixes at "Eskimo", "Specialist Interest", "Play Out", "Fabric", "Astralweks", "DFA" and other labels should be found under aliases Bakazou, Cuica, Frontera, L.S.B., Optimo (do not mistake it for the Kill The DJ duo) or Reverso 68.
On September 28th at "Spaced Out" event cycle he made "Woo" audience boil and now "Balearic disco" don Pete Herbert cooked a mix of 14 cookies for all Djscene users.
